The Director: The director, Derek Poon B.P.H.E., B.Ed., M.Ed., is a qualified teaching professional with the PTR (Professional Tennis Registry). During the school year he is an Assistant Head of the Upper School and a member of the Physical and Health Education department at Upper Canada College. He is also the coordinator of the interscholastic tennis program and the coach of the Varsity tennis team at UCC. Of his 32 years of experience in coaching and teaching tennis, 23 of them have been in the tennis day camp setting. He attends workshops and clinics frequently and brings the latest teaching strategies to the Toronto Tennis Camp. |
